Dutch prosecutors on September 16, 2026, demanded 240 hours of community service against a 31-year-old administrative employee of the Public Prosecution Service’s office in The Hague, after she admitted hiding her partner’s drugs and phone in an off-site storage unit as police were about to arrest him.
According to the OM, the case began on February 21, 2025, when police arrested her 34-year-old partner and found more than 25 grams of cocaine on him, along with 16 MDMA pills and dealing paraphernalia at the couple’s home. The man had already received a community-service sentence in October 2025 for drug offenses dating to April 2024, but continued dealing while still on probation. A second police operation on March 24, 2026, prompted by fresh reports of drug activity, uncovered a storage unit containing roughly 83 grams of ketamine, 46 grams of cocaine, over 2.5 grams of heroin and 0.7 grams of methadone.
Prosecutors demanded a 2.5-year prison sentence for the man. Of the woman, whose role was limited to moving the items to the storage unit before his arrest, the prosecutor said her conduct “damaged the integrity and trust in the Public Prosecutor’s Office” given her employment there.
