Amsterdam Corruption Case (Explosions Link)

This case centers on an administrative employee of the City of Amsterdam accused of searching government databases for home addresses and personal details between January 2024 and May 2025, then passing the information to two co-defendants who resold it within criminal networks.

The Dutch Public Prosecution Service (OM) has linked information obtained this way to at least 95 violent incidents nationwide, including 36 explosions, 14 threatening or bullet letters, eight shootings at residential addresses, two attempted murders and one kidnapping. The trial opened at the Amsterdam District Court on 18 September 2026.
