Landelijke Opsporing en Interventies (LO)

Landelijke Opsporing en Interventies (LO) is a national investigation unit operating under the Dutch National Public Prosecution Service (Landelijk Parket), responsible for tackling serious, organized and cross-border crime.

In September 2026, LO investigations led to the extradition from Spain of a suspect in a cocaine-import and money-laundering case, and to the arrest in Germany of a suspect connected to an attempted 4,000-kilogram cocaine shipment through Dunkirk – a case Dutch police have also linked to an explosion in Overasselt.
