Empact Action Day Labour Exploitation 2026

Empact Action Day Labour Exploitation is an annual, internationally coordinated enforcement day against labour exploitation and human trafficking, run jointly by police and labour authorities across multiple European countries.

The September 2026 edition included 19 inspections across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland. In the Netherlands, it led to the arrest of two restaurant-chain owners accused of exploiting more than 70 work-permit holders across eight restaurants.
