Bundeskriminalamt (BKA)

The Bundeskriminalamt (BKA), Germany’s Federal Criminal Police Office, is the country’s central law-enforcement agency. It coordinates investigations between federal states, supports the fight against organized crime, and compiles annual national crime situation reports.

Together with the Federal Ministry of the Interior, the BKA publishes the annual Bundeslagebild (federal situation report) on organized crime and on drug-related crime, most recently on 15 September 2026.
